RUSH LAKE WATERSHED RESTORATION, INC.: Rush Lake Management Plan - Phase 1

Purpose

Rush Lake Watershed Restoration Inc. is sponsoring a project to develop a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan for Rush Lake. This project the first phase of a multi phased project. Project final deliverables include: Phase 1: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a project summary detailing what studies or additional information is needed to complete a comprehensive lake management plan. Specific project activities include: 1) In-Lake & stream water quality monitoring; 2) Sediment core collection & analysis; 3) seed bank analysis; 4) lead shot analysis: 5) Muskrat use interpretation; 6) Conduct sociologic survey; 5) Aquatic plant sampling / mapping; 6) Educational outreach activities; 7) Create a core planning committee; 8) Watershed pollutant loading maps via GIS; & land use delineation; 9) Management planning meetings. Special Conditions: 1) CLMN efforts should not be duplicated, and these data shall be included in the trends analysis and final reporting; 2) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 3) Draft sociological/user surveys and shoreline assessments must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
