LONG LAKE PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Long Lake Aquatic Plant Survey Management Plan

Purpose

The Long Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District, Polk County, will conduct an aquatic plant survey and develop an Aquatic Plant Management Plan that will be integrated into the Long Lake Management Plan. The plant survey and aquatic plant management plan must follow the Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin Guidance, including following the point-intercept survey methodology and stations (provided by WDNR Integrated Science Services) and collecting two sets of voucher specimens. Aquatic Plant Management Plans must meet the requirements of NR 198.43, including integrating public participation, to be Aquatic Invasive Species Established Infestation Control Grant-eligible. This scope is intended to summarize the detailed project scope provided in the application and does not supersede those application tasks/deliverables. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator. Grantee or consultant will provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR shall receive both paper and electronic copies of the final report.
