UPPER NEMAHBIN LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Upper Nemahbin Aquatic Management Plan

Purpose

The Upper Nemahbin Lake Management District is sponsoring a project develop an aquatic plant management plan for Upper Nemahbin Lake. Project final deliverables include: results of the 2019 P/I survey in an electronic excel spreadsheet; paper and electronic copy of the report and aquatic plant management plan. Specific project activities include: 1) conducting a summer 2019 P/I survey on Upper Nemahbin Lake; 2) analyzing the P/I data with maps showing the location and density of aquatic plant species; 3) comparing the P/I data to previous plant surveys in tables; 4) compiling the P/I data into tables showing plant statistics; 5) discussion of the results of the survey and changes noted since the previous survey; 6) development of an aquatic plant management plan including chemical treatment, DASH and hand pulling; and 7) mapping of the public loosestrife locations around the perimeter of Upper Nemahbin Lake. Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
