WASHBURN COUNTY: 319 LMI-Hunt Hill Learning Center Stormwater Project

Purpose

Washburn County is sponsoring a project in partnership with the Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary and their Friends group to implement storm water control best practices to protect and improve nearby lakes, including the Twin Lakes and Long Lake. The project will also serve as an educational opportunity for Hunt Hill visitors and students. Deliverables include: final construction specs and plans, 25-year operation & maintenance plan recorded on the property deed, pre/post photos, and examples or a summary of educational materials developed. The specific objectives, metrics, and deliverables for the listed activities are included in the application and supporting materials, and this scope is not intended to replace or supersede those documents.

Construction planning details.\r\nThe work consists of grading and forming \r\n waterways that flow into three different detention ponds. These areas are the upper parking lot, the area alongside the learning center and the lower parking lot. On these the contractor will grade\r\nand excavate to the lines and grades within the plan. For the upper parking lot and lower parking lot portions these area will remain in gravel that will be formed into waterways that inlet into detention ponds.
