Lake Julia Lake Association is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to continue to study Lake Julia in Oneida County. Nicolet Area Technical College is a project partner. The project will focus on developing an Aquatic Plant Management Plan (APMP) for Lake Julia.
Project activities include:
1) Information and education - stakeholder survey, winter and spring presentations at Lake Julia Lake Association meetings, news release, and newsletter articles
2) Water quality sampling (Secchi, P, and Chla through citizen monitor), review and analysis
3) Aquatic plant survey (point-intercept)
4) Aquatic plant community mapping and analysis
5) Watershed assessment
6) Near-shore habitat inventory
7) Develop APMP.
