WIND LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Hydrilla Workshop Wind Lake

Purpose
The Wind Lake Management District will hold an educational workshop focusing on Hydrilla in February 2008. This workshop will 1) Create awareness of the impact and biology of Hydrilla; 2) Review necessary response strategies of infestation; 3) Determine the legal basis for a specific response strategy; and 4) Identify other potentially invasive species that threaten Wisconsin's waters. Project deliverables include 1) Compilation of information on future management of invasive species; 2) Publication of a fact sheet or informational card with identification of Hydrilla; and 3) A copy of the conference advertising flyer and conference agenda. The grant will pay for publications, facility cost and speaker costs.
