CHURCH PINE ROUND & BIG LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Big, Round and Church Pine PI Survey and APM Plan Update

Purpose

Church Pine, Round and Big Lake P&R District is sponsoring a project to collect in-lake and tributary data, develop a phosphorus budget using Bathtub to estimate internal and external sources of phosphorus to Big Lake, and update the Lake Management Plan Project deliverables include: water quality and flow data entered in SWIMS; Bathtub and nutrient budget report; updated lake management plan according to NR 191 and NR 198 Specific project conditions: CLMN efforts should not be duplicated, and these data shall be included in the trends analysis and final reporting; All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance shall be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring and aquatic plant management plan development. The NOR Native Plant Protection Strategy shall be integrated into the plan. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.

Maps of the watershed, land use, flow accumulation, and culver connections.\r\n
This analysis involved the collection of data to more closely evaluate the sediment release of phosphorus, determine if entrainment (entrainment is the movement of one fluid into another through an interface; in this case bottom layer water into upper layer water where algae can grow) of that phosphorus occurs into the upper layer of water where algae can grow, and compare that to external sources of phosphorus in Big Lake, Polk County Wisconsin.
Church Pine, Round and Big Lake COMPREHENSIVE LAKE MANAGEMENT PLAN 2021 SCHEDULE
The goals of this research are to develop an estimate of summer growing seasonal internal P loading for use in P budgetary analysis and forecasting the impacts of internal P loading management on water quality.
