SQUASH LAKE PROTECTION & REHABILITATION DIST: Squash Lake APM Plan Update

Purpose

The Squash Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District is sponsoring a project to update their Aquatic Plant Management Plan (APMP) with the following goals/activities: 1) Sample lake water quality; 2) Collect and analyze a lake sediment paleocore; 3) Gather and assess existing lake information; 4) Conduct a sociological survey of lake district residents; 5) Develop an updated APMP. Project deliverables include: 1) Data from stakeholder survey, water quality monitoring, paleocore analysis; 2) Four management planning meetings; 3) Annual reports and updated LMP. Specific project conditions: 1) Draft of stakeholder survey needs to be submitted to DNR for review and approval before sending to public; 2) LMP needs DNR review and approval; 3) WDNR Lake Biologist will be provided with an electronic copy of reports and/or management plans; data from stakeholder survey, water quality, paleocore analysis; all maps and GIS data from project. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
