NEBAGAMON LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC.: AIS Prevention - Clean Boats, Clean Waters

Purpose

The Nebagamon Lake Association is sponsoring a two part AIS prevention project including boat inspections at the public landing, educating the public about AIS and prevention, hiring a part-time supervisor to train, schedule & oversee paid workers and volunteers. Deliverables include a paper and electronic copy of final report summarizing the project including: 1) A watercraft inspection report including total time and number of people reached; including Clean Boats, Clean Water survey results; boat inspections results will be entered into a DNR Clean Boat, Clean Waters database; 2) Brochures, mailings, news articles, and educational materials; 3) Verification of training of inspectors and monitors such as agendas and attendance lists; 4) Any AIS related materials generated or paid for by this grant. Special conditions for this project: The project sponsor shall immediately contact the DNR in the event of a new aquatic invasive species infestation. This scope is intended to summarize the detailed scope provided in the grant application and does not supersede grant application specifics. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report.
