TOWN OF UNDERHILL: Berry Lake EWM Control Project

Purpose

The Town of Underhill proposes to control Eurasian Water-Milfoil (EWM) by implementing control measures during the period 2007-2009. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Town of Underhill's AIS Control Grant application dated May 15, 2008. The project includes conducting pre- and post-treatment surveys and monitoring, and mapping the extent of EMS; controlling EWM with aquatic herbicide treatments; implementing an AIS prevention strategy that includes educational workshops, and conducting watercraft inspection. A progress report and final report summarizing the three-year project will be provided to DNR. Watercraft inspection records will be entered into the State's online Watercraft Inspection Database. If a consultant is to provide the final report, it is recommended that the grantee provide the DNR AIS Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR will be provided both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to, submission of grantee's final payment request.
