DANE COUNTY: APM Plan Update/AIS-Lakes Monona & Waubesa

Purpose

Dane County Office of Lakes & Watersheds will hire a consultant to conduct an aquatic vegetation and substrate survey of the littoral zone of Lake Monona & Lake Waubesa, Dane County. Final deliverables include: 1) compilation and evaluation of data from past aquatic plan inventories; 2) detailed summary report presenting findings of the aquatic plan inventories to include, GIS mapping, herbarium, and instructions on how to repeat sampling protocol for future monitoring; 3) preparation of an Aquatic Plant Management Plan with recommendations for shoreline buffers; 4) conduct an information and education campaign (fact sheets, newsletters, press) to communicate key findings & recommendations
