POST LAKES P & R DISTRICT: Post Lake Aquatic Plant Management Plan Update

Purpose

Post Lake Rehabilitation District is sponsoring an AIS EPP grant to be completed by December 31, 2008. The project will focus on creating an APM Plan for Post Lakes and AIS education and prevention. Project activities include: 1) Point-intercept survey; 2) Hire two CB/CW inspectors; 3) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program; 4) Entry of inspection Forms 3200-120 onto Dept website; 5) Stakeholder participation: CB/CW training, project status/informational meeting, public survey; 6) Develop project report. Project deliverables include: 1) Point-intercept survey data; 2) Completed entry of inspection Forms 3200-120 onto Dept website; 3) AIS educational and prevention activities; 4) Final report summarizing CB/CW activities, AIS educational activities, and APM Plan. Specific Conditions for this project: Final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of final report, samples of assembled AIS information, and newsletter article(s).
