TOMAHAWK LAKE ASSOCIATION: Lake Tomahawk AIS Prevention & Control Stragegy, No. 1

Purpose

Tomahawk Lake Property Owners Association, Inc. is sponsoring two AIS Rapid Response grants to be completed by December 31, 2008. The project will focus on chemically treating approximately 30 acres of Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) in Lake Tomahawk. Project activities include: 1. Complete an EWM proposed treatment survey; 2. Complete Pre/Post treatment survey; 3. Chemically treat approximately 30 acres of EWM; 4. Prepare Aquatic Plant Management Report. Project deliverables include: Final report describing the findings of the pre and post treatment surveys, GPS locations, updated EWM maps, and guidance for continued control actions. Specific conditions for this project: Final report needs Dept review and approval; all EWM surveys must follow WDNR Pre and Post treatment monitoring protocols (April 2008) WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of final report, Aquatic plant survey data, GPS data and maps.
