WAUBEESEE LAKE PROTECTION DISTRICT: Waubeesee Lake APM Plan

Purpose

The Waubeesee Lake Protection District will hire a contractor to develop an aquatic plant management plan. The plan will utilize plant survey data collected from a previous grant. This project will determine the extent of invasive species in Waubeesee Lake and what treatment would be necessary to promote native species growth. The final report will include: 1)Historic plant and plant control activities, discussion & analysis of current control, maps of plant beds, maps of proposed treatment areas and lake use and boat ordinances. 2)Discussion & description of sensitive area, source of plant problems, exotic species and recommendations for plant control, both mechanical and chemical. Grantee is to provide draft copies of the report to Craig Helker and Heidi Bunk (DNR staff). Two paper and one electronic .pdf copy of the final report must be submitted to the DNR prior to the submission of grantee's final payment request.
