Project Scope and Description of Deliverables
The Hancock Lake Association (HLA) is sponsoring a project which will focus on creating an aquatic plant management plan and an adaptive management plan using existing water quality, fisheries, aquatic plant, shoreland, and watershed data and new lake user survey data. The Project has the following goals/activities: 1) Compile existing data on the lake and watershed; 2) Conduct a early season curlyleaf pondweed survey; 3) Apply to the Wisconsin Lake Modeling Suite to the watershed information; 4) Identify watershed threats to the lake; 5) Educate lake users through various outlets; 6) Conduct a lake user survey; and 7) Develop a lake adaptive management plan and aquatic plant management plan.
Project deliverables include: 1) Educational materials developed as part of the project; 2) All new data collected as part of the project (early season curlyleaf pondweed survey, lake user survey, etc); and 3) An Adaptive Lake Management Plan including an Aquatic Plant Management Plan.
Specific project conditions: WDNR Lake Biologist will be provided with an electronic copy of reports; data from water quality, early season CLP survey, lake user survey and other project surveys; all maps and GIS data from project. WDNR Lake Biologist will be invited to management plan development meetings.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the grant application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Any data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
