TOMAHAWK LAKE ASSOCIATION: Tomahawk Lake System Updated APM Plan - Mgmt Planning Phase

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables The Tomahawk Lake Association (TLA) is sponsoring a project which will focus on updating their aquatic plant management plan for all of the lakes in the watershed. The three phases \2013 EWM Mapping, PI Survey, and Management Planning - will be used together to update the management plan. The Project has the following goals/activities: 1) Conduct aquatic plant point-intercept (PI) surveys (following DNR protocol); 2) Conduct late season EWM mapping surveys, and volunteer EWM surveillance monitoring; 3) Develop an online EWM mapping application; 4) Conduct a lake stakeholder social survey; 5) Develop an updated aquatic plant management plan. Project deliverables include: 1) Data from aquatic plant, EWM mapping, and social surveys; 2) annual project report; and 3) an updated aquatic plant management plan. Specific project conditions: WDNR Lake Biologist will be provided with an electronic copy of reports/management plans; data from aquatic plant, EWM mapping, and social surveys; all maps and GIS data from project. WDNR Lake Biologist will be invited to management plan development meetings. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the grant application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
