PEPPERMILL LAKE DISTRICT: Peppermill LMP & Nutrient Load Control

Purpose
Peppermill Lake District is sponsoring a project for Peppermill Lake and UWSP to evaluate nutrient loading via groundwater that is suspected of being a major contributor to excessive plant growth, namely Eurasian Water Milfoil. Deliverables: all data collected, groundwater flow model, nutrient budget, update APM Plan agendas and minutes for training sessions. A final report that includs results from DNR approved social survey and includes APM and nutrient management plans. Activities: 1) N & P budget via chemical analysis at UWSP lab 2) Groundwater flow model (GFLOW) with an executive summary 3) AIS specific management strategies 4) Detailed social survey report with executive summary. Conditions: 1) All data shall be entereed into the SWIMS database 2) All data will be collected with Department approved protocols 3) Proposed recommended solutions This scope summarizes the project detail provided tin theapplicatoin and soes not negae tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submited to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lakes Biologist. If the consultant is to provide the final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft report for comment on the report prior to making final payment to the consultant. The DNR is to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with or prior to submission of the grantee's final payment request.
