Half Moon Lake P & R District is sponsoring a project to update its lake management plan that was completed in the early 1990s and did not include water quality goals or an implementation plan. Project activities include: in-lake and tributary water quality data collection; tributary, internal, and watershed loading assessment; lake phosphorous response modeling (i.e. WiLMS modeling; water quality goal development; shoreline habitat assessment; and integration of public participation and strategic planning to develop specific management recommendations and responsibilies. The final deliverables for this project will be an updated strategic (lake management) plan with specific management recommendations and spreadsheets, summaries, etc. of collected data.
