LAC VIEUX DESERT LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC: Lac Vieux Desert Eurasian Watermilfoil Rapid Response Project

Purpose

LVD Lake Association is sponsoring an AIRR grant to be completed by June 30, 2011. The project will focus on surveying and mapping all EWM and managing up to 10 acres of EWM in LVD Lake. Project activities include: 1)Pre-treatment survey (spring of 2009 and 2010) conducted a week or less prior to treatment; 2)Manage up to 10 acres of EWM; 3)Post-treatment survey (summer of 2009) between mid-July and mid-August. Project deliverables include: 1)Final report describing the findings of the pre and post treatment surveys, GPS locations, and guidance for continued control actions during fall of 2009; 2)Summary report of results from spring 2010 survey. Specific conditions for this project: Final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of final report.
