WHEELER LAKE ASSN, INC: Wheeler Lake Comp Lake Mgmt Plan Ph 1

Purpose

Wheeler Lake Assn proposes to prepare several appraisals and assessment actions with the ultimate development of a comprehensive management Plan. Deliverables include the following: Characterize current water quality (year 1) ; Characterize watershed (define area, inventory uses, estimate pollutant loads, and define sensitive lands); Establish water quality objectives (WILMs modeling suite), estimate internal P load; Estimate groundwater flow direction and quantity; Evaluate and characterize the aquatic plant community via a review of existing data and develop a comparative analysis that includes several area lakes of the similar classification; Evaluate and set objectives for the fishery via a review of existing data and development of management objectives; Conduct a survey of CLP if preliminary survey work demonstrates the need; and Conduct appropriate citizen participation process to establish objectives for lake use, regulations, enforcement, and management structure (lake district ?)
