Goals: A. Continue to increase public awareness of AIS issues by disseminating information at boat landings, at community events, at resorts and businesses, and through mailings to homeowners on the Chain. B. Continue to participate in the “Clean Boats/Clean Waters” volunteer watercraft inspection program. Train new volunteers. Training will be done at the Annual Meeting and at boat landings as new volunteers are identified. C. Continue to implement a rapid response strategy in the event more AIS is discovered. D. Continue the Adopt-A-Shoreline program. Train new volunteers.

Three Lakes Waterfront Association is sponsoring a project to study Long Lake and Eagle River in Oneida County, focusing on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Long Lake and Eagle River and AIS education, prevention and monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation - kick-off meeting, AIS training, stakeholder survey, planning meetings (up to 2), wrap-up meeting, news release, newsletter article, and progress report; 2) Hire 2 AIS coordinators; 3) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program and AIS monitoring; 4) Water quality sampling (secchi, P, Chla, N, conductivity, pH, total Alk, total suspended solids, calcium, DO, and temp); 5) Point-intercept (PI) aquatic plant survey, analysis and community mapping; 6) Curly-leaf pondweed (CLP) survey and sensitive area delineation; 7) Fisheries assessment and watershed assessment and P load modeling; 8) Zebra mussel monitoring; 9) Install 3 kiosks and disseminate AIS information at boat landings, resorts, businesses, tournaments, community events, and homeowners on 3 Lakes Chain; 10) Develop LMP, AIS education, prevention and monitoring final report and AIS educational materials (packets, coasters and newsletters.
