TOWN OF WOODBORO: Eurasian Watermilfoil Control on Oneida Lake
Return to Search
Purpose
The Town of Woodboro in partnership with the Oneida Lake Association, is sponsoring an Aquatic Invasive Species grant for the control of newly discovered euarisan watermilfoil in Oneida Lake. Scuba divers will be hired to remove EWM; local residents will monitor for populations of EWM; boat landings will be monitored during fishing tournaments to be sure vehicles being launched are free of aquatic plants. Deliverables include a final report summarizing what was accomplished with the project and including maps indicating areas where EWM was found and sites where it was removed.
