PIGEON LAKE P & R DISTRICT: COMP - Pigeon Lake Comprehensive Management Plan Update

Purpose

The Pigeon Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District is sponsoring a project to update the Pigeon Lake Comprehensive Management Plan. Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan. Specific project activities include: 1) In-Lake water quality monitoring; 2) Acoustic mapping of lakebed; 3) Fishery data compilation; 4) Aquatic plant identification and mapping; 5) Conduct sociologic survey; 6) Shoreline inventory/mapping; 7) Watershed & land use delineation; 8) Management planning meetings; 9) Develop a management plan Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 2) Draft sociological/user surveys and shoreline assessments must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated; 3) WDNR review of the draft of the Lake Management Plan; 4) WDNR will be provided electronic copies of data and reports/plans generated as a result of this project. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. The Grantee will provide the DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft final report for comment on adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
