ROCK LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Miljala Tributary Watershed-Practice Determination

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables (CAOS-2000 Character Limit) The Rock Lake Improvement Association is sponsoring a phased planning grant to determine that a two-stage ditch is the best practice to stabilize the stream banks of Miljala Tributary to Rock Lake. Project final deliverables include: 1) Engineering firm consultant chosen and shared with Lakes Biologist; 2) Elevation survey results will be shared with the Lakes Biologist; 3) Observations of ditch bank materials & instability will be documented; 4) Analysis report of the soil boring logs will be shared with the Lakes Biologist; 5)Geotechnical Analysis of soil either confirms or denies the feasibility of the two-stage ditch project; 6) Stakeholder meeting minutes will be shared with the Lakes Biologist; 7) Consultant meeting minutes will be shared with the Lakes Biologist Specific project activities include: 1) RLIA will develop and distribute an RFP to select the consulting engineering firm; 2) An elevation survey of the project area; 3) Soil boring logs will be collected; 4) Analysis of the soil boring logs; 5) Feasibility of the two-stage ditch will be examined; 6) Stakeholder engagement every other month; 7) Consultant management meetings This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
