PICKEREL/CRANE LAKE PROT & REHAB DISTRICT: Crane Lake Eurasian Milfoil Project-Action #9 (from our Aquatic Plant Management Plan)

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables The Pickerel Crane Lakes District is sponsoring a project which will focus on mapping and hand pulling Eurasian watermilfoil in Crane Lake and installing AIS prevention signs at strategic locations on or between the two lakes. Project final deliverables include: 1) Maps and data from EWM mapping surveys; 2) annual EWM management reports; and 3) eight AIS prevention signs installed. Specific project activities include: 1) Conduct early and late season EWM mapping surveys; 2) Delivery of GIS data (of EWM locations) to the EWM management team; 3) Annual EWM management report; 4) Installation of AIS prevention signs at the channel between Crane and Pickerel Lakes. Special Conditions: WDNR Lake Biologist will be provided with an electronic copy of reports/management plans; data from EWM mapping surveys; all maps and GIS data from project. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
