TEAL, LOST LAND & GHOST LAKES IMPROVMT ASSOC: Quiet Lakes - Phase 1 Teal, Lost Land, and Ghost Lakes - Surface Water Planning Project

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables The Teal, Lost Land and Ghost Lakes Improvement Association is sponsoring a project which will focus on collecting aquatic plant and water quality data and updating their aquatic plant management plan for Lost Land and Teal Lakes. Project final deliverables include: 1) Data from aquatic plant, EWM mapping surveys and water quality monitoring; 2) annual project report; and 3) an updated aquatic plant management plan. Specific project activities include: 1) Conduct whole-lake aquatic plant point-intercept (PI) surveys (following DNR protocol); 2) Conduct late season EWM mapping surveys, and volunteer AIS surveillance monitoring; 3) Sample water quality; 4) Update boat landing AIS signage as needed; 5) Hold an AIS identification and pulling training; and 6) Develop an updated aquatic plant management plan. Special Conditions: WDNR Lake Biologist will be provided with an electronic copy of reports/management plans; data from aquatic plant and EWM mapping surveys; all maps and GIS data from project. WDNR Lake Biologist will be invited to management plan development meetings. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
