TROUT UNLIMITED INC: Wilson Creek Aquatic Organism Passage Phase 2 Planning

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables Trout unlimited is sponsoring a planning project to restore aquatic organism passage in Wilson Creek (Douglas County) at two road crossings on CTH P and develop stream crossing designs for both sites. Project final deliverables include: Two final engineer stamped designs for stream crossings of Wilson Creek on CTH P. Final HEC-RAS analysis and cost estimates. Specific project activities include: Trout Unlimited staff will complete geomorphic surveys to complete longitudinal profile, channel cross sections, and other stream data required to design new crossings at two CTH P crossing sites of Wilson Creek. Crossing designs will be developed using stream simulation design methods. HEC-RAS analysis will be completed and used to create alternative crossing structures that pass the 100-year flood event and restore aquatic organism passage. Special Conditions: Completed plans and analysis and cost estimates be provided to the Department in print and electronic format. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
