LAKE SINISSIPPI IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT: Lake Sinissippi Lake Management Plan

Purpose

The Lake Sinissippi Improvement District is sponsoring a project to create a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan. Specific project activities include: This project aims to create a comprehensive lake management plan with the following four goals: 1) Establish a Lake Management Work Group (LMWG) consisting of 5 to 7 people from LSID, LSA, Dodge Co., WDNR, Etc.; 2) Create a focused Sediment Management Plan; 3) Develop a Shoreline and Habitat Improvement and Protection Plan ((SHIPP); 4) Create a Water Level Management Guide Project final deliverables include: 1) The charter, members, and meeting minutes of the LMWG will be shared with the Lakes Biologist; 2) Focused Sediment Management Plan, summarized documentation directives from the ACOE alternatives analysis, and the LSID Conceptual Design Report will be shared with the Lakes Biologist; 3) The SHIPP and its associated three actions item\2019s coordinated planning maps and developed metrics to evaluate progress will be included in the LMP; 4) A Water Level Management Guide will be included in the LMP Special Conditions: An electronic copy of the Lake Sinissippi Management Plan will be provided to the Lakes Biologist. Any shoreline assessments or Aquatic Plant assessments will follow WDNR protocol. Any social survey must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
