NORTH LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Mason Creek West Branch Agricultural Ditch Sediment Retention/Wetland Restoration Improvement

Purpose

The North Lake Management District is sponsoring a project to develop a Conceptual Plan to reduce pollutant loading to Mason Creek and North Lake. This conceptual Plan will detail how the final project will detain, capture, and slow down stormwater runoff, increase dry weather water levels and flow, and prevent chronic upland-sourced sediment and nutrient loads from entering Upper and Lower Mason Creek as well as North Lake. Project final deliverables include: 1) West Branch Agricultural Ditch Sediment Retention/Wetland Restoration Improvement Conceptual Plan that will include location of proposed ditch plug to effectively reengage the riparian wetlands on the West Branch. Special Conditions: WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of data and reports/plans generated because of this project. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional River Biologist.
