PHILLIPS CHAIN O'LAKES ASSOC: 2022-2023 EWM Monitoring & Management Project

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables Phillips Chain O' Lakes Association is sponsoring an ACEI grant on Wilson Lake to control EWM. Project final deliverables include: 1) Annual AIS monitoring and control strategy reports 2) Point Intercept and EWM mapping surveys 3) Herbicide concentration results 4) Water quality results to be entered into SWIMS 5) Final report summarizing AIS mgmt., future mgmt. and monitoring suggestions Specific project activities include: 1) Conduct Pretreatment & Refinement Surveys for herbicide treatment areas 2) Conduct Sub-PI in 2022 to monitor herbicide treatment 3) IPM efforts for EWM using Florpyrauxifen-benzyl 2022 4) IPM efforts for EWM using hand harvesting (including DASH) 2023 5) PCOLA volunteers perform herbicide concentration monitoring following treatment 6) Late-season EWM mapping survey following hand-harvesting 7) Lake wide PI Survey following treatment - 2023 8) Collect water quality during year of treatment -2022 9) Conduct strategic planning committee teleconference/Create Annual Reports Final Reports need to be reviewed and approved. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of annual reports, final reports, survey data and all maps and GIS prior to submission of grantee\2019s final payment request. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
