HALF MOON LAKE P & R DISTRICT: PREV- Boat Cleaning Station

Purpose

Project Scope and Description of Deliverables Half Moon Lake District is proposing to install a CD3 waterless cleaning station to decrease the spread of AIS into and out of Half Moon Lake including curly leaf pondweed, Eurasian watermilfoil, zebra mussels, and starry stonewort. Project final deliverables include: 1) Annual maintenance and operations cost donated by Half Moon Lake District; 2) Report on usage and functionality of the equipment. Specific project activities include: 1) Installing a CD3 waterless cleaning system at the Half Moon Lake boat launch in the spring of 2022. Special Conditions: 1) Budget showing potential funds allocated for annual maintenance and operations cost by Half Moon Lake District; 2) Grantee must enter into a recorded land use agreement with the property owner; 3) The useful life of a CD3 unit is 8 years; 4) Clean Boats Clean Waters protocols will be followed. 5) Clean Boats Clean Waters data will be uploaded into SWIMS for the duration of the grant. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
