CLAM LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Phase 3, Shoreline Survey, Water Quality, EWM RR Plan & Fish Evaluation

Purpose

Clam Lakes P & R District is sponsoring a four-phase project to complete a comprehensive lake management plan with an aquatic plant emphasis for Upper and Lower Clam Lakes. The final deliverable will be a single lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan. Interim deliverables for each phase include a progress report with results, including maps, spreadsheets, and other data collected during the given phase. The specific Phase 3 (LPL-1317-10) project tasks, occurring on both lakes, include: 1) A shoreline survey; 2) Expanded water quality monitoring; 3) Eurasian watermilfoil rapid response plan; 4) A carp survey, in partnership with the St. Croix Tribe; 5) Planning meetings, GIS support, and administration related to above tasks. Special Conditions: 1) WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance should be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring and aquatic plant management plan development; 2) Draft public surveys and shoreline inventory methods must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated.
