Purpose
The Round Trade Lakes Improvement Association is sponsoring a project to create a Strategic Management Plan to manage EWM and help prevent AIS spread through education and public awareness.
Project final deliverables include:
1. Final Report summarizing accomplishments/progress of the grant including PI results, meandering survey results, EWM & CLP maps, removal/treatment determination and planning report, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, AIS data, CLMN data, outreach activities including photos of signage, examples of education materials, and mailings.
2. Financial Payment Request with documentation of grant administration time and services, contributions, financial match, proof of payment of expenditures, and organizations providing financial support.
3. AIS data entered into SWIMS
4. CLMN readings enter in SWIMS
5. EWM Strategy Plan for 2024
6. Additional related items paid by this grant.
Specific project activities include:
Project includes PI survey, meandering survey, mapping EWM beds, determine appropriate control method using chemical herbicide and/or physical removal (hand pulling/diver/DASH), AIS monitoring, continued CLMN monitoring, public education & awareness, and EWM Strategy Plan.
Special Conditions: Review effectiveness of various herbicides to determine best usage. CLMN efforts should not be duplicated.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, reports, GIS-based maps, and digital images must be submitted to DNR in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
If consultant provides final report, it is recommended Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
