TOWN OF BARNES: 2023-2025 Lower Eau Claire Lake Curly-leaf Pondweed Management Project

Purpose

The Town of Barnes is sponsoring an AIS rapid response project for 2023-2025 Lower Eau Claire Lake Curly-Leaf Pondweed Management Project. Project final deliverables include: 1) Development of aquatic plant management plan for Lower Eau Claire Lake 2) Approval of WDNR Mechanical Harvesting permit 3) Development of newsletters, social media posts, and public meetings 4) CLMN AIS monitoring results, and bed mapping data for CLP. 5) Year end reports, schedules, and total CLP harvested by BAISS boat. 6) Maps, GIS files, and final reports of professional whole-lake CLP mapping Specific project activities include: 1) Plan and implement Aquatic Management Plan 2) Permit application submission 3) Outreach and education to stakeholders/partners of Lower Eau Claire Lake. 4) Completion of CLMN AIS Monitoring protocols, and targeted mapping of CLP. 5) DASH removal of CLP by BAISS Boat. 6) Professional AIS monitoring Special Conditions: Final Reports need to be reviewed and approved. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of annual reports, final reports, survey data and all maps and GIS prior to submission of grantee\2019s final payment request. All relevant data must be entered into DNR\2019s SWIMS database. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
