DEER LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Deer Lake AIS Clean Boat/Clean Waters & APM Plan Update

Purpose

The Deer Lake Improvement Association is sponsoring an AIS prevention and education project. Project activities include: 1) Clean Boat/Clean Water program on Deer Lake; 2) Aquatic plant survey and mapping; 3) Public Outreach and Education about AIS. Deliverables include: 1) Final Report summarizing accomplishments/progress of the project including watercraft inspection and lake monitoring report detailing time and number of people reached; 2) CB/CW survey results; daily results will be entered into the DNR CB/CW database; 3) Results of Aquatic Plant Surveys with maps and AIS locations; 4) Results of Aquatic Plant Vouchers; 5) A completed Aquatic Plant Management Plan; 5) Report on outreach projects/presentations including copies of press releases, newsletters, and materials distributed to the public; 7) AIS related materials generated or paid for by this grant. Special project conditions: WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance must be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring and/or aquatic plant management plan development. The project sponsor shall immediately contact the DNR if a new aquatic invasive species is found. This scope summarizes the project provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional AIS Coordinator. It is recommended that Grantee provide DNR with a draft final report.
