The Town of Washington is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study Anvil Lake. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Anvil Lake, which will allow Anvil Lake to become eligible for lake protection grant money in the lake management plan implementation category. Phase 2 project activities include: 1) Placement and instrumentation of two groundwater monitoring wells; 2) Placement and instrumentation of an automated lake-stage recorder; 3) Placement and instrumentation of an automated precipitation gauge.
