Purpose
The Waubee Lake Improvement Association, Inc. is sponsoring a project to create an Aquatic Plant Management (APM) Plan for Waubee Lake as a result of the discovery of a Eurasian watermilfoil population in late summer of 2023.
Project final deliverables include: All data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and plan document.
Specific project activities include: (1) Aquatic plant monitoring (1 PI, 3 meander surveys); (2) Aquatic invasive species monitoring (1 survey); (3) Tentative \2013 invasive plant control; (4) Stakeholder education/communication (1 online presentation, 1 workshop); (5) Aquatic Plant Management Plan development
Special Conditions: (1) All applicable data shall be entered into the SWIMS database (AIS Early Detection Survey, Spiny Waterflea sample results); (2) All lake-wide aquatic plant point Intercept surveys and/or sub polygon surveys shall be conducted according to WDNR\2019s \2018Recommended Baseline Monitoring of Aquatic Plants in WI\2019 Protocol (PUB-SS-1068 2010).
