The Tomahawk Lake Association is sponsoring a project to continue with another 2-years of its trial program (4-year total program) that utilizes mechanical harvesting to suppress dense EWM colonies that exist in high-traffic areas of the lake. This project would continue that effort in 2024-2025, with continued aquatic plant and harvest longevity monitoring and adding a removed nutrient analysis study component.
Activities:
1) 90 days of mechanical harvest 2) monitor longevity of harvest efforts 3) conduct quantitative monitoring of mechanical harvest 4) late season EWM mapping survey 5) nutrient monitoring of EWM material 6) annual meetings 7) annual project reporting
Deliverables:
1) mechanical harvest permit reporting 2) annual monitoring data, reporting, and mapping
Conditions:
1) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols.
2) DNR invite to annual meetings
This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
