SPIDER CHAIN OF LAKES ASSOCIATION: Spider Lake Chain Aquatic Invasive Species Monitoring

Purpose

The Spider Chain of Lakes Association (SCLA) is sponsoring a project which will focus on updating aquatic plant and aquatic invasive species (AIS) information on the four chain lakes as part of their Lake Management Plan (LMP). Activities: 1) Conduct early season point-intercept survey; 2) Conduct early and late season AIS meander/bed mapping surveys; 3) Conduct CLMN volunteer AIS surveys. Deliverables: 1) Data from aquatic plant and AIS surveys; 2) Volunteer AIS monitoring data in SWIMS; 3) Final reports for each lake. Conditions: 1) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols; 2) Provide DNR Lake Biologist with a copy of reports; data from aquatic plant and AIS surveys. This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify. If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request. Also see B. Special Conditions below.
