Purpose
City of Neenah is sponsoring a project to initiate cooperative management of Little Lake Butte des Morts (LLBM), collect baseline data, and creating informed recommendations for a multi-phase comprehensive planning effort aimed to protect habitat and address harmful algal blooms, invasive species, erosion, and nuisance plant growth.
Activities: 1) Hire consultant 2) Work with Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance to facilitate 14 partner meetings 3) Review all existing data for LLBM 4) Conduct aquatic plant surveys 5) Conduct stakeholder meeting and survey 6) Write aquatic plant management (APM) plan 7) Write action plan to continue toward a comprehensive lake management (CLM) plan.
Deliverables: 1) Name and contact information of consultant 2) List of partners 3) 1 meeting per month with meeting notes 4) Summarize existing water quality data 5) Summarize DNR baseline water quality data 6) Summarize Winnebago County shoreline assessment 7) Aquatic plant survey data 8) Final APM plan 9) Action plan to continue to CLM plan.
Conditions: 1) Enter data collected into SWIMS database under grant project number. 2) Provide draft version of the management plan for review. 3) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols. 4) Shoreland and shallows habitat monitoring shall follow Lake Shoreland & Shallows Habitat Monitoring Field Protocol [EGAD # 3400-2020-19]
This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.Related Reports
