TRI-LAKES MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: RES - Lake Camelot Shoreline Erosion Mitigation

Purpose

The Tri-Lakes Management District is sponsoring a project to repair and protect the shoreline of the Lake Camelot Lodge Beach Club where wave energies, ice action, boat traffic, and public foot traffic have caused disintegration and loss of adjacent upland Activities: 1) Complete all construction by the first year. 2) Grasses and forbs from Healthy Lakes Shoreline Edge list will be planted in bio bags at 1-foot intervals. 3) Plantings will be protected by light fencing from foot traffic and deer browsing for two growing seasons. 4) An interpretive sign will be developed to provide education about the project. 5) All construction designs meets NRCS Standard 342 and 580 Deliverables: 1) Complete project according to plan within the grant deadline. 2) install and maintain bio-bags and planting to secure permanent restoration. 3) Install signage as soon as possible. Conditions: 1) Enter data collected into SWIMS database under the grant project number. 2) A progress report shall be included with each reimbursement request. 3) All information developed from the project is public domain. 4) The grantee must enter into a land use agreement with the landowner and record the cost-share agreement at the register of deeds office in the county where the property is located. The agreement must contain an operation and maintenance plan. Submit a copy of the recorded agreement with the final reimbursement request.
