CEDAR LAKE PROTECTION & REHABILITATION DIST: 319 LMI - Cedar Lake Final Alum Treatment

Purpose

The Cedar Lake P&R District is sponsoring an alum treatment project for Cedar Lake to reduce phosphorus loading from in-lake sediments, thereby reducing algal blooms and allowing for restoration of the lake's native aquatic plant community. Activities: alum treatment in Cedar Lake Deliverables: a final report documenting the alum treatment that includes monitoring and dosage data for all days. Conditions: Alum treatment shall follow conditions in DNR wastewater permit. In the final report, for each practice, provide pertinent before and after photos, include the date installed, cost, and estimated load reductions for nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and sediment in units of lb/yr. DNR Biologist may be contacted for technical assistance. This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
