TRUMP LAKE PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION: Trump Lake 2023-2025 EDR Project

Purpose

The Trump Lake Protective Association, Inc (TLPA) is sponsoring a project to implement activities related to an early detection of Eurasian watermilfoil (EWM). This will include EWM control and aquatic plant monitoring. Project final deliverables include: 1) EWM management and required permit reporting (DASH records); 2) Data from EWM surveys; 3) Annual and final AIS monitoring and control strategy reports. Specific project activities include: 1) EWM control with DASH/hand pulling; 2) Late season bed mapping surveys (for EWM) in 2023, 2024, and 2025; 3) Annual and final AIS strategy assessment reports summarizing EWM management and monitoring during project and future EWM management direction. Special Conditions: DNR is to receive copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request. It is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft of the final report for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. It is strongly recommended that an annual management strategy meeting be held each winter with DNR to discuss EWM management for the next year before aquatic plant management permit applications are submitted. Late season EWM surveys should ideally be completed by the end of the third week of September going forward. If this timing cannot be completed you should consult with the DNR Lake Biologist or AIS Biologist before conducting the survey. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
