
Purpose
The Lake Alice Association Inc (LAA) is sponsoring a project (covering grants AEPP82525, AEPP82625, AEPP82725) which will focus on updating aquatic plant management goals/actions from a comprehensive management plan to create an aquatic plant management plan (APMP) for Lake Alice.
Activities:
1) Conduct an aquatic plant point-intercept (PI) survey, an early and late season EWM/CLP mapping survey, and aquatic plant community mapping;
2) Collect new water quality data and review historical water quality data;
3) Review watershed boundaries and land cover for the watershed;
4) Conduct a lake user social survey;
5) Update the lake association aquatic plant management plan (APMP).
Deliverables:
1) Data from water quality monitoring, watershed assessment, aquatic plant and social surveys;
2) A completed final report and updated APMP.
Conditions:
1) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols.
2) Draft lake user survey questions to be reviewed and approved by DNR Social Scientist before distribution or use.
3) DNR Lake Biologist will be provided with a copy of reports and/or management plans; data from aquatic plant, water quality, and lake user surveys.
4) DNR Lake Biologist will be invited to management planning meetings.
This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
