WASHINGTON COUNTY: PREV - Ackermans Grove Boat Cleaning Station

Purpose

The Washington County Parks department is sponsoring a project to construct a boat wash station at Ackerman\2019s Grove County Park located on Little Cedar Lake to provide boaters with a tool for cleaning their boats and limiting the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS). Activities: 1) Bid and contract installation of new well, well pump, and electrical service; 2) construct concrete slab for equipment building; 3) Construct a building to house equipment and stone swale for water drainage; 4) Purchase & install electric pressure washer unit, and AIS signage Deliverables: 1) Provide installation dates and photographic documentation of installed/completed: a) well, well pump, and electrical service; b) concrete slab; c) equipment building and stone swale; d) pressure washer unit & signage; 2) Provide summary at end of season describing successes and any issues or lessons learned regarding usage of the unit Conditions: 1) 200 hours of watercraft inspection time is required during the tenure of this project (funded under CBCW155925, sponsored by Little Cedar P&R District); 2) Complete any required local permitting prior to station installation; 3) Signage must be reviewed and approved by the DNR Biologist prior to the printing and installation of the sign; 4) Provide maintenance plan for washer unit to DNR Biologist. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
