Lake Nokomis Concerned Citizens, Inc. is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study Lake Nokomis, in Lincoln County. (Phases 1 and 2 were funded in the Feb 2010 grant cycle.) The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Lake Nokomis. Completion of a LMP will allow for potential Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) cost sharing grants and permits for Eurasian water-milfoil (EWM) control. Phase 3 project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation (stakeholder survey, planning meetings (2), wrap-up meeting, news release, and newsletter article); 2) Data analysis; 3) Develop LMP. Project deliverables include: 1) Stakeholder survey, news release(s), and newsletter article(s); 2) LMP.
