LAKE JULIA ASSOC, INC: Lake Julia Management Planning Project, Phase 2

Purpose

Lake Julia Association, Inc. is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study Julia Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan for Julia Lake. Phases 1 and 2 were funded in this grant cycle (Aug 2010) and Phase 3 will be submitted for funding consideration in February 2011. Phase 2 project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation \2013 kick-off meeting; 2) Water quality assessment; 3) Fisheries assessment; 4) Point-intercept (PI) aquatic plant survey, community mapping and analysis; 5) Curly-leaf pondweed survey. Project deliverables include: 1) PI data; 2) Water chemistry data; 3) Aquatic plant community maps; 4) Two sets of aquatic plant vouchers. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of PI and water chemistry data, a set of aquatic plant vouchers, all maps from project, and all GIS data.
