Lake Association of Long Lake, Inc. is sponsoring phased large scale lake planning grants to study Long Lake, in Florence County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan for Long Lake. (Phases 1 and 2 were funded in the February 2009 grant cycle and Phase 3 was funded in August 2010.) Phase 3 project activities include: 1) Outreach and education \2013 informational meetings; 2) CB/CW activities; 3) Water quality sampling; 4) Data analysis; 5) Develop Lake Management Plan. Project deliverables include: 1) Entry of watercraft inspection forms onto SWIMS; 2) Lake Management Plan.
