Project RED Training Session 08/15/2009

Purpose
A Project RED (riverine early detectors) training will be held in theFirefly room at the Wauwatosa Library from 9am to 1pm on SaturdayAugust 15. Project RED volunteers will be taught to identify 15invasive species that threaten the health of Wisconsin’s rivers and streams. Volunteers will also learn how to verify their findings andhow to use a GPS unit and online database to map and report them.Volunteers are asked to use these skills to monitor a river of theirchoice twice a summer at their convenience for invasives.
