RIVER ALLIANCE OF WISCONSIN: Project RED, Protecting Lower WI from AIS & Outreach to Anglers and Paddlers

Purpose

The River Alliance of Wisconsin proposes to continue their effort to reduce the spread of AIS in the Lower Wisconsin River basin and the Great Lakes Research Initiative (GLRI) counties through monitoring, education and partnering with other groups. A list of deliverables can be found on page 9 of the application scope, but in general, they will conduct workshops for river groups about AIS planning, prevention and monitoring, train volunteers, monitor rivers, and build partnerships across the state. Information will be shared with the public via their website, newsletters, and presentations at other groups' conferences and meetings.
